The PDG 30th Anniversary Symposium - The History and Future Perspective of PDG -

Introduction

  Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) and Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) will host the international symposium, entitled “The PDG 30^th Anniversary Symposium -The History and Future Perspective of PDG”.
 
  The Pharmacopoeial Discussion Group (PDG) will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year in 2019. In conjunction with the PDG face-to-face meeting being held in Tokyo this year, the PDG 30th Anniversary Symposium will be held as a milestone. At this symposium, we will look back on the history of PDG's 30 years of activities, and give a lecture from experts on the latest situation and the role PDG has played in Europe, Japan, the United States, and the other country/region. Representatives of PDG members (the European Pharmacopoeia: EP, the Japanese Pharmacopoeia: JP and the United States Pharmacopeia: USP) will give a lecture on the latest topics of each pharmacopoeia and PDG observers, the World Health Organization (WHO), will speak on the relationship between the International Meeting of World Pharmacopoeia and PDG along with the expectations for PDG, which makes stakeholder share the trends and future perspective of each pharmacopoeia. Furthermore, among the pharmacopoeia users, experts from pharmaceutical industry groups will talk about their expectations for PDG. In addition, experts involved in the drafting of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia will introduce you to the hot topics and the latest activity of PDG.
