The ATC 10th Anniversary Ceremony
PMDA delivered opening remarks, reflecting on the history of ATC and its contributions to international regulatory harmonization. This was followed by a congratulatory message from the World Health Organization (WHO), which acknowledged ATC’s contributions to advance regulatory capabilities across countries and expressed expectations for continued collaboration in the future. Subsequently, PMDA gave a presentation outlining the background of ATC’s establishment and the distinctive features of the training programs it provides. The presentation also set out its future directions for the next decade, to become a regulatory platform for sharing latest information, facilitating international collaboration beyond capacity building, and providing needs-based responses for each partner. In addition, a video summarizing ATC’s achievements over the past decade and feedback from seminar participants was presented, allowing participants to gain a broader understanding of ATC’s activities.

This ceremony served as a valuable opportunity to widely communicate ATC’s initiatives and achievements to date, as well as to deepen mutual understanding among stakeholders regarding the future direction of international collaboration.
PMDA will continue to strengthen its cooperative relationships with regulatory authorities in various countries through ATC and will promote international initiatives to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
